Serk Ride

live for the weekend

For 2021 we are changing our weekend ride format to keep in line with evolving riding trends in Beijing.

Less Air Pollution = More Urban Rides
The urban air quality has improved dramatically over the last few years (even though the last month has been horrible!) making riding out from the city more feasible. Urban rides are also time efficient, encourage new members to join the community and can start and finish with a coffee! We’ve teamed up with Peach in Sanlitun to offer an urban ride every second Saturday. Rides are free and Peach is offering a free coffee shot at the morning start! We’ll rotate 6 different routes including a short and long ride each time. Finish off with lunch at Peach.

Focussed Monthly Special Events
Across Beijing and greater China there is now a plethora of choice when it comes to cycling events, sportives, races and trips. As a result our regular members have less available time to participate in Saturday Serk rides every week. We’ve decided to focus our efforts on one special event every month. These events will be the must do ride for the community. Expect a special challenge or a partnership event with some of your favourite Beijing F&B brands.

Gravel

We miss the old days of riding in Beijing’s mountains when bikes were almost the only vehicle on the road. We’ve been seeking more of that solitude, sense of adventure and exploration. We’ve found a bunch of great gravel routes which satisfy these cravings and are excited to share them with you once every month.

Dear Serk team,
I just wanted to express my gratitude in joining your rides during the past 2 years. Those Saturday rides have been such a highlight for me, and have made me appreciate the abundance of stunning mountainous landscapes that surround Beijing. You guys organized really clear routes and were available to offer support in terms of bike gear and maintenance. I’ll always highly recommend your shop to my friends who have an interest in trying cycling. Keep up the great work at Serk and I’ll miss being part of the weekend rides. Thank you for all that you do to open up cycling to us Beijing residents. Zaijian!
